Hi, Iām ROBERT.
I grew up in Fort Myers, Florida, where my parents were deeply involved in the community, always emphasizing social service and responsibility. Their commitment to helping others profoundly shaped my own values and dedication to service.
After leaving Fort Myers, I moved to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida. I started out as an English major, drawn to the world of writing, but as much as I enjoyed the novels, I found myself increasingly fascinated by psychology courses. There was a strong sense that I was diving into something scientific and meaningful. The more I studied psychology, the more my curiosity grew, and it soon became clear that this was the path I wanted to pursue professionally.
I went on to earn my master's degree in psychology from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, and then my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Texas A&M University in College Station. In 2003, I came to Nashville for a post-doctoral residency at Vanderbilt University. My wife and I immediately fell in love with the community and happily decided to make it our home. I was very fortunate to join Heritage Medical Associates in 2008.
Of course, life isn't all about work! I still love to read, and I stay active as a runner. With each passing year, I feel incredibly lucky to be living, raising my children, and practicing as a psychologist in Nashville.
